Who we are. ORIX is built by SKAY TECHNOLOGIES, a French société par actions simplifiée, SIREN 908 070 246, registered in France. You can reach us at privacy@orix.build.
What we collect. When you ask to be told about the launch, we keep the first name, last name and email address you type, the LinkedIn profile if you choose to give one, and the date you asked. We also record the technical details your request already carries, listed below. We send nothing to a third party. We set no cookie; the only thing this site stores on your device is your choice of light or dark theme, kept in your browser and never sent to us.
Why. To write to you once, when ORIX opens. We also count the sign-ups and publish that figure on the home page — the total only, never a name.
Technical details. Every request that reaches us already carries some technical information, and we record it alongside your sign-up: the address it came from, the browser and operating system it reports, the languages it asks for, which content encodings your browser accepts, and which page referred you here, if any. We also compute a single fingerprint from some of these details, to get a rough sense of how many different people are behind our sign-ups — never as proof that two sign-ups are the same person. Alongside all of that, we record whether the page was showing our coming-soon or maintenance screen, whether you had already seen a link to our build log, whether you came to this page from our build log, how long you kept the dialog open before sending it, and how long passed between your first keystroke in the address field and the moment you sent it. We use all of this to understand who is interested in ORIX, and for nothing else.
How long. One year at the most — and in practice almost always much sooner. We hold your sign-up, and the technical details next to it, until we export the list and confirm we received it; that is the point at which your name, email address, LinkedIn profile and those technical details are erased from our records. What outlives that erasure is the emptied record itself, and two things left on it: a scrambled form of your email address, kept so that a second sign-up from you counts once and not twice; and the date you asked, kept because the sign-up total we publish on the home page counts these records and must not drop when a list is exported. We cannot read the scrambled address back as an address, but anyone who already holds a list of addresses could test whether yours is in ours — so it is still information about you, never an anonymous trace, and we use it for nothing but that check.
Your rights. You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or have it erased. Write to privacy@orix.build and a person will answer. If you are unhappy with how we respond, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
